Sydney Lodges are proud to support our local hospitals both in Randwick and Potts Point.
We are one of the preferred accommodation partners for Prince of Wales Hospital, Prince of Wales Private, Royal Hospital for Women, Nelune Cancer Centre, NeuRA and the Sydney Children’s Hospital. We work with each hospital’s staff and social workers to provide family members of those having medical treatment, a local place to stay across the road from the medical hub in Randwick. Avoca, High Cross and Perouse are all a 5 minute walk from the hospital precinct in Randwick.
Closer to the city, our Potts Point properties are a preferred accommodation for St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Kinghorne Cancer Centre as well as the medical hub of specialists that can be found in St Vincent’s Clinic and surrounding area. This medical hub is about a 10 min walk up past the Coca Cola Sign at Kings Cross along Victoria Street from our Bayswater and Springfield properties.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney (RMHCS) gives seriously ill children the best gift of all – their families. The House provides a warm and supportive home-away-from-home for families of children travelling to Randwick for treatment at the Sydney Children’s Hospital. Ronald McDonald House Randwick is committed to providing family-focused care allowing families to stay by their child’s side during their treatment at the Sydney Children’s Hospital. Their communal facilities help to create a social and supportive environment and offer a few of the comforts of home that make life just that little bit easier. Sydney Lodges proudly provides additional accommodation for those familiies are are unable to reside initially at Ronald McDonald House. Sydney Lodges is proud to continue to host the team of “Captain Starlights” when they land in Sydney; as we are keen supporters of the Starlight Children's Foundation.
Starlight Children's Foundation brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and young people by replacing pain, fear and stress with fun, joy and laughter. Since its establishment in 1988, Starlight has expanded to become the broadest reaching children’s charity in Australia. There is now a Starlight Express Room in every children’s hospital in the country and over 180 Captain Starlights nationwide.
In 2019, Starlight granted 500 life-changing wishes with 100% of families recommending a wish experience to other families. Starlight also delivered over 610,000 positive Starlight experiences to seriously ill children, young people and their families.
We are also proud to be a supporter of BRAINWAVE by providing a warm and friendly local accommodation to those interstate parents and families who need to be close by to the Children’s Hospital.
Brainwave was established in 1994 to support the treatment and care of children suffering from brain illness and injury. Our Brainwave children are diagnosed with neurological conditions including brain tumours, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, stroke, Acquired Brain Injury and more. Their initiatives assist children in being discharged from hospital sooner, help fund equipment and rehabilitative therapies, as well as hosting events, camps and holiday programs vital for families to aid social inclusion. Brainwave steps in to provide practical and meaningful support at a time when it is needed most. Brainwave’s mission is to help empower families to meet these needs, and they believe that the right support at the right time goes a very long way.

The Biennale of Sydney is one of the leading international contemporary art events in the world. Originating in Venice in 1973, the Biennale has showcased unforgettable artworks by more than 1,800 artists from 100 countries every 2 years. It connects local communities and global networks through its expanding exhibitions; providing free art and thinking for all to enjoy.
All the exhibitions are free; venues include the Art Gallery of NSW, Artspace, Campbelltown Arts Centre, Cockatoo Island, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and the National Art School. Most of these are within walking distance of our Potts Point properties, and easily accessible from our Randwick properties too.
Many of the international artists chose to stay with us at Sydney Lodges Potts Point during the exhibition set up and we also had a special discount rate for those attending the event.
Sydney Lodges is very excited to host the Kings Cross & Potts Point Walking Tour alongside our friends from Journey Walks.
