LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND SERVICES
The Sydney Lodges group is a strong advocate for local business and are a proud member of our local Business Chambers: City of Sydney, Potts Point Partnerships and the Randwick/Coogee Chambers of Commerce. We continually work with our local business communities to attract interstate, regional and international visitors into the area and introduce them to our local partners, so that they can benefit from our partnerships with our local networks and our collective knowledge.
We also work with Destination NSW and Tourism Australia to help promote our local neighbourhoods.
We partner with local restaurants, cafes, bars, theatres, galleries and shops to be able to introduce our guests to our unique local neighbourhoods. You will see many of our local partnerships under See Local, Savour Local, Sip Local and Stroll Local as we continually expand our networks to promote our local neighbourhood businesses.
Please enquire at Reception when you book in as to what local restaurants, bars, cafes and other local businesses we have partnered so that you can benefit too. Our front office team will be delighted to help you.
Sydney Lodges are proud to support our local hospitals both in Randwick and Potts Point.
We are one of the preferred accommodation partners for Prince of Wales Hospital, Prince of Wales Private, Royal Hospital for Women, Nelune Cancer Centre, NeuRA and the Sydney Children’s Hospital. We work with each hospital’s staff and social workers to provide family members of those having medical treatment, a local place to stay across the road from the medical hub in Randwick. Avoca, High Cross and Perouse are all a 5 minute walk from the hospital precinct in Randwick.
Closer to the city, our Potts Point properties are a preferred accommodation for St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Kinghorne Cancer Centre as well as the medical hub of specialists that can be found in St Vincent’s Clinic and surrounding area. This medical hub is about a 10 min walk up past the Coca Cola Sign at Kings Cross along Victoria Street from our Bayswater and Springfield properties.

Sydney Lodges is proud to be a supporter of Brainwave by providing a warm and friendly local accommodation to those parents and families who need to be close by to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Brainwave was established in 1994 to support the treatment and care of children suffering from brain illness and injury. Our Brainwave children are diagnosed with neurological conditions including brain tumours, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, stroke, Acquired Brain Injury and more. Their initiatives assist children in being discharged from hospital sooner, help fund equipment and rehabilitative therapies, as well as hosting events, camps and holiday programs vital for families to aid social inclusion. Brainwave steps in to provide practical and meaningful support at a time when it is needed most. Brainwave’s mission is to help empower families to meet these needs, and they believe that the right support at the right time goes a very long way.

Sydney Lodges is very excited to host the Kings Cross & Potts Point Walking Tour alongside our friends from Journey Walks.
Launched in 2016, Journey Walks is a small, independent collective of heritage-professionals who bring Sydney’s fascinating history to life through Tours & Experiences.
As scholars and storytellers they are proud to represent the next generation of history-telling — an ancient craft that has the power to transport us through time & space, ignite our imagination and vividly connect us to the past.
So whether you’re here for a visit or call Sydney home, we invite you to join them for a journey into the secrets, stories and streets that have helped shape this remarkable place — from its ancient Indigenous heritage to its convict & colonial transformation, and the development of the city-scape we know today.
