- JP McCAFFREY’S TRADITIONAL FISH AND CHIPS
Right next to the beach (at the northern end close to the Coogee Pav) pick up Australia’s best old fashioned fish and chips straight from this old British /Irish style chippery. Add salt and vinegar, mushy peas and gravy, combine with a patch of grassy park or sand on Coogee Beach and tuck in. Mmm it’s making me hungry.

- OUT OF THE BLUE
This family-owned corner spot offers battered Pacific cod with a bubbly crust that snaps under your fingers and a generous side of chips with chicken salt. They offer bread, baked daily and where possible they source sustainable products and providers. The fish and chips come wrapped in paper, proper old-school like, so you grab them on the go and eat them on the beach. Cash only & pick-up only. Locals queue for miles, so enjoy a chat with them while you wait.

- COOGEE PAVILION
Part of the gorgeous Merivale Group, the building is a Coogee landmark known as “The Pav” with a unique history of its own. There are three floors of beautiful food, drinks and views that are out of this world. The ground floor is more casual with seaside dining menu with everything from sashimi and freshly shucked oysters, to family friendly burgers, wood-fired pizzas and kids’ meals. You can also order via smartphone, so contactless experience.
Mimi’s is the fine dining restaurant alongside Will’s cocktail bar and tapas at Una Mas are on the middle level and then the rooftop has a huge wrap-around balcony to sit and relax after your Coastal Walk. Quite often they have live music, and also do a take away Fish & Chips which is fabulous.

- BONDI’S BEST
Long-time favourite for locals, Bondi’s Best definitely makes the cut when it comes to smashing down crispy and juicy fish and chips. Everything here is served twice the normal size so expect long slabs of fried fish and chunky slices of sweet potato fries. You can take-away or eat in. Originally based in Bondi North, they now offer a second location with a contemporary restaurant on Hall St.

The perfect place to impress your family and friends, owned by Matt Moran, celebrity Chef and a great restauranteur. North Bondi Fish is the place to see and be in the scene if you want to fit in like a local. Enjoy the freshest of seafood or just a great fish and chips with a view to die for straight across from the waves at North Bondi, you can’t get any closer to the ocean than this for a great lunch or dinner venue. It’s a bit upmarket so you might feel a little bare in just a bikini, but if you slip on a dress, shorts and a shirt you’ll fit right in.
