What are the reception's operating hours?

Reception is open 24 hours / 7 days. This is our only property offering 24/7 reception.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in from 2:00 PM. Please contact Springfield Lodge to advise your ETA before arrival.

Please note: Our GWB members are offered priority check-in. 

Check-out until 10:00 AM.

Please note: Our GWB members receive a late check-out of 12:00 PM. These guests must advise Reception to secure this free late check-out.

Can I store my luggage?

Yes, if you arrive prior to 2 pm and your room is not ready, we would be happy to store your luggage in our luggage room.

*Sydney Lodges will take no responsibility for valuables left in storage. Please take all valuable items with you.

What is the cancellation policy?

FLEXIBLE: If you have booked the Best Available Rate, cancellation is free of charge until 2pm, 48 hours prior to your arrival date. Any booking modifications, including date changes and/or a full cancellation of your booking made within 48 hours of 2pm on your arrival date will incur a charge equivalent to the value of the first night booked. Any booking modifications requested after check in must occur at least 48 hours prior to the change taking place to avoid any charges. Payment will be taken upon check-in.

NON-REFUNDABLE: If you have booked a non-refundable or promotional rate (including all Stay & Save rates), any cancellation will incur the full cost of the booking. Booking modifications, including date changes are not allowed. Non-refundable bookings will be charged in full upon confirmation.

NO SHOW POLICY: Failure to arrive at the property on the booked check-in date will be treated as a no-show and the remainder of the booking will be cancelled. If you have booked the Best Available Rate, you will incur a charge equivalent to the first night of the booking. If you have booked a non-refundable or promotional rate, you will be charged the full cost of the booking.

BOOKING MODIFICATIONS: For bookings made on the Best Available Rate, booking changes are subject to availability and any applicable charges. If a date change is possible, the originally booked nightly rate may be subject to change and a higher rate may apply.

For bookings made on any non-refundable or promotional rate, booking modifications are not allowed.

NEW YEARS EVE BOOKINGS: If any night falls between 30th December and 1st January (inclusive), your booking requires full prepayment on confirmation and is non-refundable. Bookings during this period should by default have a non-refundable policy, however should this be unclear, this clause would supersede others. Modifications and/or cancellations are strictly not allowed.

Are the rooms serviced daily?

Yes, rooms are serviced daily by housekeeping. If your stay exceeds 7 nights a full linen change is provided in the middle of your stay.

If you require an unscheduled, full room cleaning service during your stay, this can be arranged at Reception for a fee of $35.

We pride ourselves in providing clean accommodation so please talk to Reception if you have seen something that needs to be addressed. 

NOTE: During the COVID-19 pandemic in an effort to reduce contact with our guests and their belongings, our Housekeeping schedules have changed. Please see our team if you would like further clarification.

Is internet access provided?

Yes, high-speed Optic Fiber Wifi is available at this property. We offer free unlimited access to all guests booking direct. If you have booked through a third party (OTAs such as booking.com, Expedia, ... ) we also offer free wireless internet, however, data limitations may apply.

If you would like to connect to the Internet, please choose “Springfield WiFi” from the available Wi-Fi networks. A webpage will then open up and you’ll be prompted to enter your room number and the exact surname on your reservation to complete the connection. If you experience any difficulty connecting to the Wi-Fi please contact our friendly Front Desk team.

Phone: You have the convenience of a telephone in the room. Calls will be charged to your room, payable on check-out.

  • Local calls: Dial 0, then the number.
  • Regional / Interstate calls: Dial 0, then the area code (e.g. 03) then the number.
  • International calls: Dial 0, then 0011, then the country code (e.g. 64) then the area code (usually without the zero) and then the number.
  • Calling another room: Dial the 3-digit room number.
  • Calling Reception: Dial 9.
  • If you are expecting a call, the caller must know the surname the room is booked under. Receiving calls is free of charge.
Do you have a restaurant?

Out the front, discover ANATEL, ou local cafe. Our valued Springfield Lodge guests enjoy 10%* off their order throughout their stay. Also, bring your own cup & get a further 30 cts discount! Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 7 am to 3 pm. (*Minimum spend $20 - to enjoy that benefit, present the discount card provided at check-in and your room key).

Do you have a lift / elevator?
Yes. There is lift access to four of the five floors of the property. Please note there are a few steps at the entrance to Springfield Lodge.
Are baby cots and extra beds available?

Yes, there are baby cots available. Bookings are essential so please contact Springfield Lodge to confirm before your arrival.

Unfortunately there are no extra beds available.

Are there cooking facilities?
No, there are no cooking facilities at the property.
Are there laundry facilities?

Shared laundry facilities are available for guests to use at a small additional cost.

Do you have a gym?

No, there are no gym facilities at the property but there are many local gyms that offer casual passes in the area.

Are pets allowed?
No, we do not allow pets. We do allow service animals, please speak with the property before your arrival if you will be travelling with a service animal.
Are there smoking rooms available?
No, our property and rooms are all smoke-free in accordance with NSW Legislation.
How far is it to the train station?

Kings Cross Train Station on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line is a 3 minute walk to Springfield Lodge.

What restaurants and bars are nearby?
There are many dining options nearby, including those located in Llankelly Place, Macleay Street and Darlinghurst Road. Head to the Explore page and check out the 'Eat' and 'Drink' tabs for more information.
Is there a grocery store nearby?

Yes, Harris Farm Market is across the road on Springfield Avenue. Woolworths supermarket is on Darlinghurst Road, next to the Kings Cross train station entrance. Coles supermarket is located in the Kings Cross Shopping Centre, under the Coca-Cola sign.

Are there any shopping locations nearby?

Yes, there are many shopping locations nearby including:

  • Potts Point exclectic shopping streets right outside your front door.
  • Queen Victoria Building
  • Pitt Street Mall
  • Westfield Sydney
  • The Strand Arcade
  • Oxford Street to Bondi

Is there a hospital nearby?
St Vincents Hospital is located at 390 Victoria St, Darlinghurst and is 850m from Springfield Lodge. St Lukes Private Hospital is located on Roslyn Street, Potts Point. This is approximately 300m from Springfield Lodge.
How do I get there?


By shuttle bus: Approximately 45-60 minutes. Information desks are located in the arrivals hall at both the T1 International and T3 Domestic terminals.

By train: Approximately 30-45 minutes. You will require an Opal Card to travel, purchased from the station, Relay or WH Smith. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes, change at Central Station for trains to Kings Cross. Springfield Lodge is a 3 minute walk from Kings Cross station.

By taxi/rideshare: Approximately 30-45 minutes. Follow signs to the taxi rank at the front of all terminals. For rideshare arrange to meet your driver at the dedicated priority pick-up area.

Is on-site parking available?

No, there is no on-site parking available at any of our Potts Point properties.

Off-site parking is available at Secure's Kings Cross parking station on Ward Avenue, behind the Fountain and the Police Station.

This is approximately a 5-minute walk to the property. The maximum height clearance for vehicles is 2 metres.


We offer a special discount for our guests: $25 per 24 hours.

It is most important that you collect and pay for your discount parking ticket from Reception, prior to returning to your car.

This discount is only for a one-time entry and one-time exit. Minimum stay of 5 hours up to a maximum of 24 hours.

IMPORTANT: This parking arrangement is for overnight purposes only. It does not allow you to take your car in and out throughout the day.
