Centennial Parklands

Located in the middle of our Sydney Lodges locations - Randwick and Potts Point, Centennial Parklands brings together Centennial Park, Moore Park and Queens Park and borders Randwick, Paddington, Bondi Junction.

This area is one of Australia's most popular and historic public parklands. When it opened in 1888, it was dubbed The People's Park. This was not just an aspiration of the Park's creators, but an ethos that has been passed down through the years.  Today, Centennial Park is the centrepiece of Sydney's urban green space in the east.

The park features many picnic spots, BBQ facilities, along with restaurants and cafes. Hire a bike or a 4 pedal bike from our friends at Centennial Park Cycles and cycle around the beautiful ponds and gardens. The Parklands provides dedicated cycle lanes and pathways for riders of all levels of experience, they are linked to City of Sydney's network of cycleways and the eastern suburbs cycle network if you want to ride back to your Randwick or Potts Point accommodation or to Coogee or Bondi Beach.

Fancy a different mode of transport?  Book a Park Ride on Horseback - walk, trot or canter around the horse track.

Look out for the Moreton Bay Figs and the Wollemi Pines Trees that date back to the Dinosaur era. National Tree Day is on Sunday 28 July, and you can discover more information about the 15,000 trees in the Centennial Parklands through the Tree Trail.

Look at WHAT'S ON  proving that Centennial Parklands provides more than just a walk in the park - workshops, festivals and events.

From November to March, the Moonlight Cinema sets its screen up in Centennial Park, at the Belvedere Amphitheatre (Broome Avenue). Kick your shoes off and book your Bean Bed for a super chilled experience in between the majestic 100-year-old trees. Food trucks and a licensed bar are available for intermission or pre-show snacks.
