The Sydney Mardi Gras Festival is one of Australia’s most famous and well-loved events, bringing thousands of visitors to Sydney to join in the celebrations. It captures the imagination of Australia’s LGBTQI+ and mainstream communities, taking over the city for weeks on end, culminating in the world-famous Parade: a colourful and dazzling night of pride, celebration and self-expression.

Join the extravaganza that brings Sydney to a standstill and shines a global spotlight on LGBTQI+ lives, culture, communities and creativity. With spectacular floats, thousands of participants, a veritable smorgasbord of glittering colour and dynamic shape, the parade showcases the glitz and glamour of our community. Make your way to Oxford Street or Flinders Street early to secure a good spot!
The Party | Saturday 6 March 2021 | 10:00 pm onwards
This event is being held at the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park. The Mardi Gras Party is Australia’s biggest LGBTQI+ event of the year and is renowned for its incredible DJ line-up, spectacular live performances and hedonistic happenings.
Fair Day | Sunday 21 February 2021 | from 10:00 am
Held in Victoria Park, Camperdown, Fair Day is a free, family and fur-baby friendly day out! Fair Day’s an out-and-out, full-on fabulous day of fun and adventure where you can chill with a picnic spread, browse the community stalls or kick up your heels and have a dance.
Plan your trip to and from the Mardi Gras Parade ahead of time. With major road closures from 3 pm in the Sydney CBD, Darlinghurst and Moore Park the best way to get to and from the celebrations is to WALK from our Potts Point properties or catch Sydney's Light Rail from our Randwick properties which passes directly in front of Moore Park More information on transport HERE.
SYDNEY WORLDPRIDE 2023 - 24 FEBRUARY TO 4TH MARCH 2023
EXCITING NEWS, Sydney has won the bid to host WorldPride 2023. This means Sydney will become the first destination in the Southern Hemisphere to host WorldPride, the marquee international LGBTQI pride event. WorldPride 2023 will coincide with the 45th anniversary of the first Mardi Gras Parade and the 50th Anniversary of the first Australian Gay Pride Week.
