The Sydney Mardi Gras Festival is one of Australia’s most famous and well-loved events, bringing thousands of visitors to Sydney to join in the celebrations. It captures the imagination of Australia’s LGBTQI+ and mainstream communities, taking over the city for the season, daily shows and experiences. This year event is running from Friday 18 February to Sunday 6 March 2022, including the FAIR DAY and culminating in the world-famous MARDI GRAS PARADE a colourful and dazzling night of pride, celebration and self-expression.

The Parade | Held on the last Saturday of the Festival | Sydney Cricket Ground Join the spectacle, watch the amazing floats, thousands of participants, a veritable smorgasbord of glittering colour and over the top costumes, the parade showcases the glitz and glamour of our LGBTQI+ community.
Stay Local with Sydney Lodges at our Potts Point /Randwick properties, all within an easy walk or short ride to all Festival events.
Potts Point also plays host to many local parties and LGBTQI+ events on in the village during the entire season.
*UPDATE - the parade has been cancelled for 2022 but most of all the festival events are going ahead so the Mardis Gras Festival is still set to be an amazing experience.

EXCITING NEWS, Sydney has won the bid to host WorldPride 2023.
This means Sydney will become the first destination in the Southern Hemisphere to host WorldPride, the marquee international LGBTQI pride event.
WorldPride 2023 will coincide with the 45th anniversary of the first Mardi Gras Parade and the 50th Anniversary of the first Australian Gay Pride Week.
