WATSONS BAY TO DIAMOND BAY
From Potts Point head to Circular Quay to catch the ferry to Watsons Bay and walk up through the park to The Gap.
The Gap has thousands of year's history from the the Birrabirragal Aboriginal clan through European settlement, shipwrecks, lighthouse trails, from horror stories of murder to sad stories of suicide and the local 'angel' a man, who has recently passed away, but spent years talking to people who were down on their luck and wanting to fall off the face of the earth. He was always there a hero who saved so many lives. Today it is one of the most photographed locations in Sydney.
From Watsons Bay walk up the hill, you can walk all along the cliff tops until you see Bondi Beach below, however one of the most beautiful iconic stops is Diamond Bay Reserve.
Diamond Bay, known as one of the best Instagrammable locations in Sydney, but don't disobey the signs or jump the fences to get that perfect shot PLEASE - it's SO DANGEROUS when you go off the pathway and SO EASY to fall off - many have and not survived the fall or lived to tell the tale. The huge beautiful cliff faces and crashing waves can be photographed easily all along the pathway.
Or if you're coming from Randwick, head up the hill from North Bondi, and the reverse walk starts at Dover Heights at the top of the hill, near Lancaster Street.
To really extend yourself there's a newly opened and well signposted 80 km of public walkways skirting around Sydney Harbour from "North Head to South Head and on to Bondi" called the MANLY TO BONDI BEACH WALK
