Randwick Public Transport

Randwick is very easily accessible from all parts of Sydney. Here are some popular routes that you might find helpful. If you have an Opal Card, make sure you have enough credit on your account to make the trip. However, if you don’t have an Opal Card, you can use your credit/debit card in the same way you would use the Opal Card. Basically, you tap on when you start your trip and tap off when your trip ends.

LIGHT RAIL

The Randwick L2 Light Rail (Tram) stop is only 300 metres away from all of our 3 Randwick properties. If you like the idea of a smooth and quiet trip to town, you should surely look no further than the Light Rail option.

There is 1 main line from Randwick:

L2 Randwick to Circular Quay

Key stops: UNSW High Street (for UNSW), Randwick Racecourse (for the Australian Turf Club), Moore Park (for Centennial Parklands, Hordern Pavilion, Entertainment Quarter, Allianz Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground), Central Station (for Chinatown, Sydney Trains and more), Town Hall Station (for Queen Victoria Building and shopping), Wynyard Station (for Barangaroo) and the final stop of Circular Quay (For Sydney Opera House, The Rocks and of course, Circular Quay).

BUS

There are many bus services from various parts of Randwick (all within walking distance from our Sydney Lodges Randwick properties) and our guests utilise regularly use the following buses:

– 356 to Bondi Junction from Randwick.
– 333 from Bondi Junction to Bondi Beach.
– 370 or 373 to Coogee from Randwick.
– 356 or 375 to Westfield Eastgardens from Randwick.

TRAIN

Despite Randwick not having a train station, it only takes 15 minutes to get to Central Station from Randwick using the Light Rail and eventually, from Central Station, you can subsequently reach pretty much anywhere in Australia!!!

RANDWICK TO THE AIRPORT

If you would like to take public transport between Randwick and Sydney Airport, the most convenient option would be to take the Light Rail to Central Station. From Central Station, look for the T8 line that goes to the Aiport Stations. It takes about 30 mins in total of travel time (not including connections)

If you want to get to the Airport quickly, we recommend using a Ride-Share app or booking a Taxi.
